Resistant Translation into Arabic: Reality and Dimensions
Keywords:

Translation is a form of wealth, benevolence, and global human peace. It is a noble human endeavour aimed at exchanging scientific, cultural, and civilizational wealth so that prosperity and peace may prevail throughout the world, while respecting the sovereign, value-based, and strategic particularities of nations. Resistant strategic translation, including translation into Arabic, is one of the forms of translation that seek to enable the Arabic language to join the leading linguistic community in science, culture, and civilization. Establishing a framework for resistant strategic translation into Arabic is one legitimate avenue for building a resistant translation system in Arabic. National strategic translation is therefore not the undertaking of isolated, untrained, and unequipped amateur individuals; rather, it is a sovereign and value-based strategic process specific to the language of the Arab nation and shaped by its distinctive civilizational identity.
Accordingly, this study adopts a descriptive methodology to describe, analyse, and interpret contemporary writings on resistant strategic translation into Arabic. It seeks to identify the scope, current state, and dimensions of this field. Modern Arabic scholarship has devoted considerable attention to issues relating to translation into Arabic, producing influential, widely recognised, and insightful works, foremost among them those of Ali Al-Qasimi. On this basis, the study seeks to determine the contemporary responsibilities and civilizational value of resistant strategic translation into Arabic.
